Bigger team? WhatFlow scales with you. It's the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, with Meta-approved templates and a business profile that's eligible for Meta's verified badge, an inbox with assignment and filters and no seat fees at any team size, and automation that runs inside Shopify Flow rather than in a side tool. Enterprise-ready, without enterprise pricing, and still free to start.

How much does it cost: WhatFlow vs Saysimple?

Here's a realistic setup for a growing Shopify store: five people on WhatsApp, broadcasts for launches, and automated flows.

  • Saysimple Grow: €139 + 2 extra users (from €25 each) + Flow Builder €99 + broadcasting €59 = about €347/month on monthly billing. Or Scale at €349 (Flow Builder included) plus €59 for broadcasting = €408/month.
  • WhatFlow: say 20,000 messages a month on Growth = $29/month, all five people included, broadcasts and Shopify Flow included.

Meta bills its per-message WhatsApp charges separately on both (Meta's pricing). The full WhatFlow plan list is on the pricing page. For the general principle, see all-features plans vs feature gating.

Shopify workflows, included

Saysimple's flows are built in its own Flow Builder. WhatFlow's automations run in Shopify Flow, inside Shopify, with WhatFlow triggers (incoming message, order reply, button reply) and actions (template, text, media). That means a WhatsApp reply can tag an order, update a customer or trigger another app's workflow without leaving Shopify. See connecting WhatsApp to your Shopify apps with Flow.

A COD confirmation, for example:

Hi Ahmed, your order #9031 (SAR 315, cash on delivery) is confirmed for delivery tomorrow. Tap Confirm to keep it or Cancel if plans changed.

You also get abandoned checkout recovery, shipping updates, review requests, live catalog sharing and free theme-matched WhatsApp buttons.

The team inbox

WhatFlow's team inbox has assignment, filters and saved replies, and no seat fees. Bring in a temp for Black Friday or let the warehouse answer stock questions without buying another user. No-seat-fee vs per-seat inboxes lays out what that saves as you grow.

How do you set up WhatFlow on Shopify?

  1. Install WhatFlow WhatsApp Business API from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Connect your WhatsApp number through Meta's Embedded Signup, right inside Shopify admin.
  3. Turn on the free theme-matched WhatsApp button so shoppers can start a chat from your store.
  4. Pick one template to start with (COD confirmation, abandoned checkout or a shipping update), map the Shopify fields in the template editor and submit it to Meta for approval.
  5. Invite everyone who answers customers to the team inbox. There are no seat fees, so don't ration logins.

Meta reviews every template, so submit yours early. If one gets rejected, these fixes cover the usual reasons.

When Saysimple might still make sense

Pick Saysimple only if you want one workspace for WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram across a service team, and you need its longer conversation history (Scale lists 365 days, Grow 90). That's a real multichannel use case.

The bottom line

For WhatsApp on Shopify, WhatFlow includes what Saysimple sells as add-ons: broadcasts, automation and extra users. Every feature is on every plan, starting free. Install WhatFlow, invite the whole team, and send your first broadcast without buying a module.
