Best-fit experienceSame features in every month. Only the message allowance changes, so your team's tools never move when you switch plans. Can bring dedicated support or a lower unit rate for predictable, year-round volume. You pay the committed amount in quiet months too.
Costs to includePlans billed every 30 days, from Free to $99/month, plus Meta's WhatsApp fees. No seat fees. The full committed amount over the term, plus any overage, user or onboarding charges in the contract.
Shopify workflowOrder templates, abandoned checkout, COD confirmation and native Shopify Flow, all available in quiet and busy months.Depends on the modules in the contract. Shopify connection is often part of a paid implementation.
Starting pointFree plan with every feature, plus theme-matched WhatsApp buttons that are free forever.Usually a quote and signed term before go-live.

If your Shopify store has quiet months and big peaks, don't sign a large fixed WhatsApp contract. Use monthly message plans you can size to the season. WhatFlow bills every 30 days, keeps every feature on every plan, and charges no seat fees, so you can move up for Black Friday or Eid and back down in January without losing a single tool or teammate.

A fixed commitment makes sense when your volume is big and flat all year. Seasonal stores are the opposite.

What does a seasonal year actually cost?

Say you sell gift hampers. You have a launch in March, Ramadan and Eid, then November and December. Here's a plausible message calendar and the WhatFlow plan that fits each month, using published prices as of November 2026 from the Shopify App Store listing:

Period

Months

Sends/month

Plan

App cost/month

Quiet

6

1,500

Starter ($4.99, 2,000 included)

$4.99

Normal

3

5,000

Plus ($9.99, 5,000 included)

$9.99

Peak

35,000

Scale ($49.99, 40,000 included)

$49.99

Year total on the app side: (6 × $4.99) + (3 × $9.99) + (3 × $49.99) = $209.82. Meta's per-message fees are on top and the same whichever app you use (Meta pricing).

Now compare that with any contract that commits you to peak-sized capacity for twelve months. You'd be paying for 35,000 sends in July when you're sending 1,500. Ask any vendor for the total committed amount over the term, not the monthly headline.

Current plan amounts are always on our pricing page.

Your tools shouldn't change with your plan

This is the part people miss. On many platforms, dropping to a cheaper tier in the quiet season also switches off automations, integrations or inbox features. Then you rebuild them before the next peak.

WhatFlow doesn't gate features. Starter has the same COD confirmation, abandoned checkout, Shopify Flow triggers and actions, catalog sharing and team inbox as Scale. You change your allowance; your setup stays exactly as it was.

More on why that matters: all-features plans vs feature-gated upgrades.

Don't forget the support tail after a campaign

The last campaign send isn't the end of the season. Customers reply for days: "Can I still get this before Eid?", "Wrong size, can I swap?" Plan for that tail.

Hi Fatima, thanks for your Eid order! Delivery slots before Eid are now full in your area. We can deliver on the 2nd day of Eid or refund the express fee. Which would you prefer? Reply 1 or 2.

Because WhatFlow has no seat fees, the temp who helped during the sale can stay in the inbox for those extra two weeks at no cost. If you're planning a festive season now, see WhatsApp campaigns for Ramadan, Eid and Diwali, holiday shipping cut-off messages and the Black Friday WhatsApp playbook.

WhatFlow's WhatsApp Business API app runs on the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API and is rated 5.0 out of 5 from 55 ratings on the Shopify App Store (checked November 5, 2026).

When a fixed contract might make sense

Pick a fixed commitment only if your message volume is large and steady all year, and the contract gives you something you'll actually use, such as a lower unit rate at that volume or dedicated support you need. Get the total committed cost and plan-change terms in writing.

The bottom line

Seasonal stores need flexible plans, not year-round peak pricing. WhatFlow lets you match your WhatsApp plan to the month, keeps every feature and teammate in place, and starts free. Map your year on the calendar above, then install it before your next peak.

Questions worth asking

Can I change my WhatsApp plan for a busy season?

With WhatFlow, yes. Plans are billed every 30 days and every plan has the same features, so moving up for a sale and back down after only changes your message allowance and rate.

How do I budget WhatsApp for a seasonal Shopify store?

Estimate messages per order and campaign recipients for a quiet, normal and peak month, then price each month on the plan that fits. Add Meta's fees separately and remember that support chats carry on for a week or two after the last campaign.

Does the free WhatFlow plan restrict features?

No. Every WhatFlow feature is on every plan, including Free. Plans differ only by message allowance and rate, and the team inbox has no seat fees.

Are Meta's WhatsApp charges included in WhatFlow's price?

No. Meta charges separately for delivered template messages by category and country. Since October 1, 2026, Meta's free customer service replies are capped at the first 1,000 per number per month.
