WhatFlow vs Haptik: if you run a Shopify brand and want WhatsApp working for orders and support, WhatFlow is the better pick. It's built on the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, installs from the Shopify App Store, runs automation through native Shopify Flow, and gives your whole team an inbox with no seat fees. Haptik is an enterprise conversational AI company. Its route to Shopify WhatsApp is a bot project coordinated with a Haptik contact.

A lot of merchants still file WhatFlow under "small-shop WhatsApp tool". That's the older Chat Automation app talking. WhatFlow WhatsApp Business API is the official-API product, rated 5.0 out of 5 from 55 ratings on the Shopify App Store as of November 5, 2026, and it's set up for large support teams as much as first-time sellers.

How do Haptik and WhatFlow price WhatsApp?

WhatFlow's pricing is on the Shopify App Store for anyone to read. Free includes 100 messages a month and every feature. Paid plans run from Starter at $4.99 (2,000 messages) through Plus $9.99 (5,000), Growth $29 (20,000), Scale $49.99 (40,000) and Ultimate $99 (75,000). Nothing is gated by plan, and there's no seat line. See the pricing page.

Haptik doesn't publish plans or prices. Its pricing page leads to "Get A Demo", so your number arrives in a proposal (pricing via sales, not published as of November 2026).

That matters more than it looks. With WhatFlow, a head of CX can model next quarter's WhatsApp cost in a spreadsheet tonight: say 25,000 messages a month on Growth is $29 plus 5,000 extra messages at $0.0025, so $41.50, for every agent on the team. With a sales-led platform you plan around a quote, a contract term and whatever services are bundled in.

Meta's own charges apply on both, billed per delivered template message. From October 1, 2026, service replies are free only for the first 1,000 per business number per month, and utility templates inside an open service window are charged. Meta's pricing docs have current rates.

Which is better for Shopify order workflows?

WhatFlow, because the workflow lives in Shopify. WhatsApp events become Shopify Flow triggers, and WhatsApp messages become Flow actions. Your team builds automations in the tool they already use for tags, fulfilment holds and inventory rules.

Three workflows most Shopify brands start with:

  1. COD confirmation. A template with Confirm and Cancel buttons goes out after checkout. The reply tags or cancels the order through Flow.
  2. Abandoned checkout recovery. A template mapped to the customer's checkout, with a link back to it.
  3. Shipping updates. Order and fulfilment data mapped straight into the message.

A shipping update might read:

Hi Marco, your order #5512 is on its way. Track it here: [link]. Reply to this message if anything looks wrong and our team will pick it up.

When Marco replies, it lands in the shared inbox with the conversation history. If you want more ideas, our Shopify Flow WhatsApp automation guide walks through them.

Haptik's Shopify path is built for a bot. Its Commerce Plus docs have you create a custom Shopify app, add API scopes, and share your Admin API access token, API key, secret and Storefront token with your Haptik SPOC. Catalog sync to Meta runs through Interakt's WhatsApp sales channel app, then you connect the catalog in WhatsApp Manager, build a bot, and ask your SPOC to add Commerce Plus and deploy it. It works, and it gives you product discovery and order tracking in chat. It's also an implementation project with a vendor contact in the loop.

Can WhatFlow handle a large support team?

Yes. WhatFlow is enterprise-ready where it counts for a Shopify brand:

  • Official Meta Cloud API with Meta-approved templates.
  • Shared team inbox with assignment, filters and saved replies.
  • No seat fees at any team size. Thirty agents cost the same in seats as three.
  • Native Shopify Flow for automation at scale.
  • Live catalog sharing from the inbox, plus Shopify admin extensions.

When Haptik might still make sense

Choose Haptik if you're a large enterprise funding an AI agent programme: customer service, sales and voice agents across WhatsApp, RCS, social and web, with AI-to-human handoff and a vendor team to deploy it. WhatFlow has no built-in AI agents, though WhatFlow's MCP connector lets you bring Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to draft replies a person approves. If you're a smaller business looking at Jio Haptik's self-serve WhatsApp product, see WhatFlow vs Interakt.

The bottom line

For Shopify, WhatsApp is about orders and the people answering them. WhatFlow gives you that on the official Meta Cloud API, inside Shopify, with Flow automation, published pricing and no seat fees. Install it, connect your number, and send your first COD confirmation without waiting on a proposal.

Questions worth asking

Is WhatFlow an alternative to Haptik for Shopify?

Yes. WhatFlow gives Shopify brands official Meta Cloud API WhatsApp with native Shopify Flow, COD confirmation, cart recovery and a no-seat-fee team inbox, installed self-serve from the Shopify App Store.

How much does Haptik cost?

Haptik doesn't publish prices. As of November 2026 its pricing page leads to a demo request, so the cost comes from a sales proposal. WhatFlow's plans are published, starting with a Free plan that includes every feature.

Is Interakt the same as Haptik?

Interakt is a separate WhatsApp product from Jio Haptik aimed at smaller businesses. Haptik itself sells enterprise AI agents. We compare Interakt on its own page.

Does WhatFlow have AI agents like Haptik?

No. WhatFlow has no built-in AI agents. It lets you connect the AI you already use through WhatFlow's MCP connector, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read chats and draft replies that a person approves. Otherwise it focuses on Shopify WhatsApp automation through Flow and a team inbox where people answer, with no seat fees.
